Michael Knill
Michael Knill, through his many job roles in companies such as Telstra, EDS Australia, IBM New Zealand and IBM Australia brings over 20 years of experience in the communications industry to the company.
After significant development of his skills in the PABX market space, Michael Knill recognised that the convergence of voice and data was inevitable and sought to develop his skills in this area. The pursuance of vendor certifications from the market leader, Cisco Systems meant that Michael Knill currently holds the prestigious Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification (Routing and Switching) along with a number of Cisco voice specialisations.
Key projects include:
• Lead Technical Architect for the communications infrastructure upgrade of a large government department. Over 9000 devices at over 60 sites including Contact Centre, telephony application development and video integration. • Lead Technical Architect for the Voice and Data Network Infrastructure upgrade for Housing New Zealand Corporation. Over 1000 IP phones at 50 sites including voicemail and intelligent call routing. • The design, implementation and ongoing support of a Cisco IP Communications solution for the Department of Defence. Secure classified communication between users across the globe was made possible through the use of IP Phone signalling and media authentication and encryption. • The design and implementation of a small but complex IP Communications solution for a serviced office utilising time based routing and a customised voicemail and attendant console solution. • The design and implementation of a small Cisco ICS 7750 including dual server blades and Unity Voicemail for a film Post Production Company in NZ. • Provide consulting services to a major Australian Bank reviewing the security of a Cisco IP Communications implementation across the banks branches.
Natalie Knill Natalie Knill currently provides administrative and logistical support for the company and is the much loved wife of Michael.
